Providing relevant, accurate and detailed financial information, these
posts are Belfast or Dublin based, permanent and part of a friendly
team of seven. Flexible and part time working is available.

The Finance Team in Ireland comprises 7 Staff and this post can be
based in NI or ROI. Flexible working is available. The post holder
will also be required to regularly travel to Dublin to liaise with the
Programme Development Unit and From Violence to Peace Unit staff based
in Dublin. It may also be necessary to travel to London a few times
each year (as financial systems are controlled by the London Finance
Team). The role will be required to go on occasional overseas
monitoring and support visits.
The team supports the wider organisation in its decision making by
providing relevant, accurate and detailed financial information. This
post will deputise for the Management Accountant and the Financial
Accountant as necessary.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
ESSENTIAL
* Member of a CCAB recognised professional accounting body with some
post qualification experience.
* Experience of using complex computerised accounting systems
* Experience of working with non-finance managers on complex
financial issues
* Experience of producing or assisting in the production of Annual
Budgets
* Significant experience of using Excel
* Experience in preparing or assisting in the preparation on
year-end accounts and production of audit file
* Ability to work under pressure and manage and priorities workload
and work to tight deadlines
* Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
DESIRABLE
* Experience of legislative/accounting requirements for Charities in
UK and Ireland
* Experience of using computerised databases and electronic funds
transfer systems
* Experience of accounting in multi-currency environment
* Experience of SUN accounting Systems
* Experience of Q&A reporting
* Experience of foreign exchange/treasury management
